i just wrote a long winded response to reach the ultimate conclusion that I agreed with you. but my computer crashed so i'll just say no beef, except for the glaring omission of the NHL, the league which has sported the most true dynasties of any of the majors. Fans of the Game demand to know why you left out the Edmonton Oilers (winners of 5 out of 7 from '83 to '90), the Islanders (4 straight '79-'83), les Habitants, the Montreal Canadiens (10 of 15 from '64 to '79 and 5 straight from '55-'60) the post-war Leafs (5 out of 7 during the heady days of the Truman administration) and the not-to-be-messed-with Montreal Victorias, winners of 4 out of 5 from 1894 to 1898-and it would have been 5 out of 5, if not for the infamous "mustache wax incident", the details of which are lost to history but supposedly involved the on-ice antics of one of those bicycles with a really big wheel and a really small wheel.
The point is, hockey is here to stay, and its about time fools recognized.
